e-LAB X-Static Goldmine 4

I've been making music (Experimentally-oriented Dub) since I was 17 and am now 28. I have used many different types of samplers such as the Ensoniq Mirage, Roland S-Series (300, 500, & 700 model series), E-mu E64, and am now currently using an Akai Z4 (highly recommended). I've been using the X-Static Goldmine series (all of them, but Volume 4 is my fav!) for well over 5 years now and it still sounds fresh! It suits my style perfectly and has an edge I have yet to find on ANY sample CD. my listening equipment include Hi-Fi speakers, M-Audio & Mackie monitors and I use MOTU & Metric Halo Audio I/Os.

I would still pay $100 for it today hands down! There currently is now one making good beats for ambient/dub/experimentally minded producers..think Future Sound of London, Alex Patterson, etc. My favorite sounds on this library are the drums which I Recycle and process, but not too much. I also love the sub-basslines and creative, not cheesey, use of analog vocoding as well as analog sequences. If you're into the previous mentioned artist you'll love this collection!
